Invigerating Walk and Flute Playing outside!

I went for one invigerating walk today. I had Ubaka Hill and other upbeat music for walking on my MP3 player and I walked to my favorite resting spot in the nature preserve behind where I live. I sat, took out me flute (from the flute bag I made), and played while sitting on a boulder.

It didn't echo as much as I though it would but that is ok. I heard some crows in the background as I played so that is satifying enough right there!

New Songs!

Wow, I've not had this flute for even a week and I have composed two original songs! Please note, that these are free for the listening, and if you wish a tabiture of the music I am more than willing to share, HOWEVER they may not be used for the purpose of commercial sales. These links will open in a new window.

"DayDreaming" (96K MP3)

"I'm Thankful" (96K MP3)

Finch is free once again!!

Look at her! She is free and happy! I released her on New Years Day in symbolage of her new lease on life. She flew into the trees at the corner of our apartment, then when I tried to get closer to take a picture, she flew up to the third floor balcony. And she is singing and calling out to her friends (I'm thinkin) and sticking around! Awwwww! Now watch out for those hawks around here!!! I'm gonna miss her company, which egoed of the wild and free. But I knew she would never be happy in a cage. I hope she is well. I hope she visits the feeder to let me know she is well and happy. *sigh* I've done a very good deed and it has filled my heart with joy and love (OKay call me fluffy! But I am feeling it!).

Flute Bag and Wall Decoration

After stopping at the hardware store and purchasing some scrap lumber, natural colored wood stain, and some decoratice hooks...we came home and designated today as craft day! Mikie worked on his boots and I worked on making the wall plaque and a carrying case for the new flute. I was gonna put the flute plaque in the bedroom above my side of the bed, but I'd rather have it out in the living space. Besides that, the decorations in the living room are more native american. The bedroom is more of a "Goddess" area to me. It's my Sacred Goddess Space. I am really loving this flute. And you play from the heart...no complicated music reading to learn...no months of practice before sounding great. Such a simple yet still complex instrument.
