UUuuggggaaaah...

I just am so sleepy and zapped of energy today, and I think it may be those new Omega plus eggs I have been eating that is not agreeing with me. I had some yesterday, the day before and today and each day I have them it seems I end up with an upset stomach and oodles of cha-cha-cha...and we will leave that description at that! Most peeps will know what I am referring to.

I think I am gonna have to either throw them out or use them in baking only. BLAH...what a waste of money. I don't have any energy to practice my karate...I tried, but I just don't have the UMPH I need to get a good workout/practice. *sigh*

Either that or one of the children who was sick recently this week has so generously passed his sickly-germies onto me. Why do parents send their childrens to school sick so they can spread the germy wealth?! Come on people! That's a rant worthy to go up on the ranting blog. The schools encourage parents to keep children home, but with these handicapped ones, school is like free daycare so off they go regardless! GRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr....

My Merlin Bird is being ooberly, annoyingly, noisy and she has done nothing but drive me batty with her constant whistling. UGH...maybe this is PMS I dunno...I haven't had to deal with a normal cycle for 4 years and I know it has to be close to that time happening soon. It's been over a month since I had that IUD removed. But then my cycle has never run on a regular scheduel.

I hope it does not rain all day tomorrow. They predict showers but hopefully not all day otherwsie I am gonna be one bored lady!

I put an ad up on the Housecleaning pages for spinning supplies asking for a used Louet S10 and how much I am willing to pay, MAX, plus shipping. Someone emailed me and offered me one in good condition for one-forty! WOW, how affordable is that!? It only has one bobbin, but I know where I can get more of those locally. She is in Illinois, but mentioned that we could meet somewhere in Wisconsin to exchange cash for wheel. SWEeeEEET! See? My spells/chants work!

Gosh I am so tired. I woke up this morning well before my alarm was to go off and I could not sleep any longer so I got up. Maybe that was a mistake!!

Then on a metro route I did this morning, the lift on the van I drive decided to give me grief and I had to work it manually (OYE!) and then I had to pick up a second wheel chair in addition the the guy in one I already had on the van...and when I went to fold up the back seat so I could fit two people in wheel chairs into the van...the damned seat would not go up! OH! *faint* Major equipment failure this morning! So I had to call base and have them send someone else out to get this person who was only goin a few blocks down the road.

TGFI INDEED! I cannot wait till after work today when I can crash and burn!! *faint*

Good Tidings Chant

This came to me the other day, as I pondered how I was gonna pay all the bills I need to pay, and still try to get what I really-really want, that just happens to be on sale till the 11th of May....that Louet S10. *sigh* If anyone out there is selling an S10 Louet, I would be willing to pay $250 plus shipping to Wisconsin. *crossing-fingers*

"Law of Return I call unto thee,

all the good things that I've done

now is the time to return to me.

Three times three times three be true

As I do will it, it will be done."

It has a nice rhythm. That middle line is not very rhyme-y...oh well. All seven of my school routes have gone in the past two weeks so I am anxiously awaiting the end of the day when my paycheck is deposited into my banking account. And for the cowerdly monger who likes to leave annonymous nasty comments...

"I am rubber, you are glue

negativity sent my way

bounces off me and sticks to you."

So there. Take that and rewind it back. Surprisingly enough, I have a life outside this blog. Oh! Imagine that!

Yoga: Just My Size-a positive review

Positive? YES! INDEED!

I really like this DVD!! The moves are simple, yet *OUCH* very effective in working the very muscles I wanted to target-the thieghs, back, abs and lung expansion. OW. Quite amazing the workout it was with so very little movement! Is this what yoga is all about?

I especially love the cool down. The DVD has you go from fetus position to laying on your back and relaxing. When this segment ends, it goes right back to the menu where the same music is repeating. So then you are free to lay there relaxing for as long as you wish!

The moves are easily memorized to do on the go too.

Emeril's Bananas Foster French Toast

WOW, I turned on the TV this morning at just the right time! I was gonna do some yoga, but when I see Emeril on, I know it's gonna be good. This time it was banana french toast!

MMMMmmmm...it looks and sound delish. I would forgo the heavy whipped cream topping and I would ease up on the sugar and maple syrup. The dish as he prepares it is so fattening it would not matter if the whole thing was made out of fruit! That many calories would completely nil out the benifits of having fruit!! DUuuuuuuuuuuuu...

April 30, 2007 —
Recipe courtesy Emeril Lagasse, Emeril's Food of Love Productions, 2007
Ingredients
2 cups heavy cream (optional)
3 large eggs, beaten
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon almond extract
6 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
8 slices brioche or other sweet light bread
1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter 4 ripe bananas, sliced in ¼-inch rounds
1 cup raisins soaked in rum for one hour
½ pint heavy cream, whipped (optional)
Syrup, for serving, optional

Directions
In a large bowl, combine the cream, eggs, vanilla and almond extracts and mix well. In a smaller bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Dip the slices of brioche in the cream mixture briefly and use half the cinnamon sugar to sprinkle both sides.
Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in a large frying pan. When the butter is hot, add half of the bread slices and cook on each side until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside, loosely covered, while you repeat with 2 additional tablespoons of the butter and the remaining bread slices.
Heat the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter in another frying pan. Sprinkle the bananas with the cinnamon sugar, add them to the pan and cook until the bananas are caramelized.
Place two slices of French toast on each plate, and pour the bananas and raisins over them. Top with whipped cream and syrup, if desired. Dig In!

I did get some yoga done, but this CD had a spider pose which I could not do! I was surprised when my body would not move! The instructor on the DVD says this is a good one for strengthening week arms...and I am thinkin...HOW when one cannot even do the pose! *face-palm!* Yoga just isn't for larger people-but I do my best anyways.
