Blogathon post #28

Blog-A-Thon questionaire I swiped from Paint Nailish :

What charity are you blogging for, and why?
Raptor Education Group Inc because they take care of injured and sick birds from around Wisconsin with the goal of releasing back into the wild. Birds that cannot be released are cared for, for the rest of thier natural lives. They run solely off of donations and can only afford to have one paid staff member. I love birds. Anyone who helps my Bird friends is worth my bloggin time.

What’s been the hardest part of the Blogathon for you, so far?

Staying Coherant enough to blog something of some sense!!

Did you have a sponsorship goal? Have you met it? (Use this space for shameless panhandling. It’s OK. I told you to.)
I was hoping for $50 at the least, I have $45. Click the sponsor this blog button!!

What’s been fun for you, so far?
Reading my Friends blogs who are bloggin for a reason too.

Have you met anyone new and cool?
We are all cool because we are all bloggin for a good cause, for one cause or another.

What have you been eating today?
This morning I had a sunny side up egg sandwhich, for lunch I made some Mussel Stew. Then I've been kinda munchin on this and that, kettle popcorn, fresh beans from the garden...lots of chilled coffee.

So… whatcha wearing?
Shorts, unddies, no bra, T-shirt

Quick! Three truths and a lie:
I like iced coffee.

I am a Goddess worshippin, tree huggin crafting Goddess (But you knew that one already).

Truth be told, I am very tired right now and could possibly fall asleep at the puter. My butt no longer hurts and is mainly numb...

I am 6 feet tall *snort*.

Blogathon Post #29 "The Mysterious Ticking Noise" (the fan version)

Okay kinda catchy!!

Blogathon Post #27 Finger Jig

WHEW! That woke me up a bit. There is this typing tutor kinda game you can find here and it is fun although towards the end it has you typing some big ass words I have rarely if ever heard of before. If I can say the word, I can spell it...so I tripped on a lot of them.

Try it! My score was 367 thousand something. I forget already. My iced coffee is chillen in the freezer...should be ready any time now....

Once upon a time in the woods (Blogathon post #24)

How does a six your old know about past lives?! This young lad says very casually that he was a tree in a past life. He Asks "You know what it is like to be a tree? People hate you and push you down and kill you. Then they peel off your bark...you know what it's like to have your bark peeled off? It's like having your skin pulled off...and then all you see are bones. Sucks." Man, that is some deep shite from a 6 year old!!!

Blogathong Post #21 Founding a Prayer Shawl group?

I have been pondering starting a Prayer Shawl group in my area...but I am not sure how many people would really be interested. Considering my past experiences with the pagan "community" I am not sure there would be enough people dedicated enough for this project...considering how much they bicker among themselves over every stupid thing in a never ending power and intellectual struggles.

I ran into an old RCGI acquaintance and she has started her own ministry (pagan) called the Tigers Eye Temple. I looked at the website and it seems a lot like the ministry she left and said she was unhappy with. Some people are not satisfied unless they are running the show. Although they have a lot more "general interest" activities on a daily basis (Witchery Stitchery is a craft night, poetry night, coffee outings...just all out normal stuff). Which is cool and all. What I don't get is that they meet on SUNDAYS. Why Sundays? Is Sunday the day when everyone has the time to be spiritual among others? Well anyways, she said it is about solitaries coming together when they feel the need to connect with other solitaries and that I am welcome when I feed the need to connect to others myself. I told her about the fallout between "the one who I shall not name here for it would taint my blog with her shite" and she said she knew something had happened but not sure of what exactly. I was surprised because I expected "the one who I shall not name here for it would taint my blog with her shite" to blabber about it to everyone. Apparently not so. "The one who I shall not name here for it would taint my blog with her shite" dropped out from a so called "unity project" (the same project where there is a constant power struggle and intellect struggle between it's members...of which there are now 5 left of the about 100 that were paid members when *I* left it two years ago-and it is run now by the one I dispise the most...a PIG of a man who thinks everyone should bow at his feet. SMACKDOWN!) that she had been adamant about for a long time which surprised me. I basically started to want to do things I wanted to do and she threw a hissy fit and it pissed me the hell off. I basically decided I was not gonna kiss ass with her anymore just to have her friendship and I tell you what...life got better afterwards without having to always run around with her or for her. Good goddess the woman was all over the place and she wore me out. No more however. No more.

Blogathong Post #20 The "Broken" Crystal Ball

Sounds like the start of really cool fantasy book. The BF not too long ago purchased a 1 1/2 diameter quarts crystal ball from the local rock shop. He is making a HUGE copper wand and he wanted to solder copper wire around it. It's a really nifty project that you can see here on his flickr account. Anyhoo, he cracked the crystal ball with the heat from the torch and he seems to think it is broken now! How naive. He went and bought a yellow calcite ball to replace it and I just feel bad for the quartz ball. It feels sad to me. It needs a womyns TLC. SO he said I could have it till he needed it for something else. Poor crystal...it's been abandoned by the person who purchased it. First it was ripped from the earth from a large scale mining operation, this it was subjected grinding, polishing and shaping to get it into this form, and now it has been deemed "broken". I'd be sad too. So I have taken mercy upon the crystal and I shall give it the TLC it needs, crack or no crack....HA!

I took a nice cold shower, went outside and tended to the garden. I needed that...Thanks for the suggestion Maven! I then found a butt-load of green beans that needed pickin so now I have fresh from the garden, pesticide free, green beans to munch on. Yummy! Think I'll cook a few up in the skillet after a bit. Then when I brought the load in and I thought I got them all, I saw still more that I had missed! Sweet mama! It's the bean bumper-load of the season!!

Blogathon Post #17

Who knew bloggin for this long could be this hard. I am starting to dread this thing!! ACK!

Did I mention I biked over to the rock shop yesterday? All 13 miles all together. I bought some blue stones, a cool fairy cross stone, an infinite healer stone, and a super clear tumbled quartz nugget. They all sit around the candle I have dedicated to my blogger friend I am knitting the shawl for. I have been doing nothin but carding fiber the last 2 hours I think. I need to take a brake and sit down with a book.

I could use some icecream too, so after the next post I think I will go down to the gas station for a pint of Oreo. *BG*

Blogathon Post #12 Zarnan

Here is a picture of my Zarnan eating away at some fresh pellet food for torts. Would you believe that these pellets have NO CALCIUM in them? I have to sprinkle a seperate suppliment so he will get some calcium for his shell. Good grief, complete diet my double-digit ass!! LMAO!! I cannot believe he likes these pellets. I like these because they do not spoil before I have a chance to feed it to him. I do spray the servings with water to make them easier to ingests so that is why his shell is so shiney. He loves being sprayed down with the mister!

Did you know that the Lion Brand website has a page on prayer shawls and card designs to print and send along with your shawl?? Check it out.

I have recieved no response from the moderators of the Fiber Fling about why I have yet to be paired and the possibility of being overlooked. Oh well. Guess I'll keep the fiber for myself or send it to one of my deserving internet friends. No biggie. I don't need a swap in order to gift those worthy of gifting. :P

Blogathon Post #10 All Backed Up

Well the program decided to work for me so I have all my MP3's from podrunner, grovelectric and beatport.com backed up onto DVD.

The BF did get me those Mussels and I am preparing them right now. I didn't give em much of a choice. I handed him the money and said it should be enough and he came home with a bag filled with Mussels. *grin*

The other stone store, Granite Winds, was not open. He said there was a note on the door saying that they were closed this weekend, but no reason was stated. He said one of the other buisness owners said there was a Fairy gathering somewhere and that is where they are at. Well howdy-doody...how about letting your customers know by adding a short note about it, or posting it to your website, or putting it on your answering machine so people don't burn the expensive gas to get out there only to be dissapointed? How flippin rude!

Okay WOW, this one is superly cool, but I dunno if I would like the side seem resulting from sewing up the sides. What say you?

Machine Knitting

Doesn't this negate the purpose of hand knitting? Knitting is supposed to be relaxing and a time of reflection...or at least it is for me. This machine sounds aweful to my ears and it looks like you have to have some muscle to use it...wow. What say you?

Well the BF is finally up and he is putting up a fight to my simple request of stopping by the Seafood store to purchase 3lbs of Mussels for me with my cash. BY golly, the man is gonna be on that side of town to visit the other rock shop, why can he not do something for me while he is there!? He is so selfish, only thinks about himself. Blogathon Post #4 A call FROM REGI!!

Holy Smokes! REGI called me back and they said they would be putting up a paypal donation button on the website. I really think they would benifit from this so that people can donate smaller amounts if they are unable to sponsor a bird for a donation. They are thrilled to be chosen for this! I got warm fuzzies!

My friend is blogging about PCOS: PolyCistic Ovarian Syndrom. I took the symptoms test on the website and out of 20 points I scored a 10.5....yikes! The symtoms being facial hair, excess wieght around the middle (obesity), dicolored skin patches (underarms and between folds), migraines (although I don't get them very often I have had them), anxiety, family history of Type 2 Diabeties (both parents), sever systic acne (just started to have a problem with that within the last six months on my BACK of all places), and of course no period for an exended amount of time or irregular bleeding that starts and stops intermittently. I really must mention this to my OBGYN next time I go which will be here soon if my period does not come. She can't do anything about it but maybe she can refer me to a doc who will treat a woman without health insurance. Although I do have health insurance that covers those parts...the government is not concerned with anything other than how well we can reproduce it seems as I cannot get government health care for anything other than OBGYN. Sickening.

Blogathon Post #1 What to do....

Well, I will be working mostly with my fleeces today. I need to dye up some more blue for the prayer shawl card it as it dries. I have plenty of laundry to attend too and once in a while I'll be poundin on the bag. Hopefully the BF will be heading out for coffee when he rises from the dead and I can ask him to stop at the bank to exchange some cash for quarters...which just happens to be right next to the coffee shop.

I ran and got my daily dose of caffeine this morning (they were super generous this morning with the portions!!) along with a half-pound of the house blend (fair-trade AND organic). I am gonna make 12 cups worth and then refrigerate it because I don't care for hot coffee. I am also counting on the BF to go to the West side of town today to check out the rock shop I just found out about yesterday called Granite Winds. They more of a metaphysical shop and know what most people want the rocks for (magic, usually). I would like some Infinite Healing stone chips if they have them to embed into a clay shawl closure I plan on making today out of poly clay. I suppose I will have to just shape it and then bake it when I get the rest of the materials I want. Anyways, I was saying I hope the BF goes out that way so he can stop and the seafood shop on the same side of town and get me three pounds worth of Mussels, with my cash of course because the man can never do anything for me, just for me, just because he loves me. What happened to Chivalry? It surely is dead in this household. Such a shame....oh well.

I'll have to set a timer for 30 minutes to remind me to post every half-hour because I tend to forget to do things....like turn off the water in the tub when I am filling it up with hot water to clean some raw fleece in.....so far I have NARROWLY averted having a flood. When the tub is just about ready to overfill I usually get a flash of it in my head and I go running through this maze of a small apartment to save the day, just in time! LOL\

I do have Beauty and the Beast Season 2 to watch from Netflix. And if I run through that and get bored I can also go online to netflix and watch whatever there. I also have the online vampire game to attend to. Me get bored? I shouldn't!! I am pretty sure I will not be online tomorrow after this!

Until next time...

OMG! Award! I got a Karate Award!!!

OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs-OMGs!!!!!!

I got an award from my Karate instructor Mr. Shaub at promotion today!! WOOOOOOoooooooo!

It was this moduels "Focus Award". The reason he chose me, he said, was because I came in to learn karate in the adult program without being connected to anyone who was already there as most of the other students have been. Most of the adults there had thier kids come in first and then when the adult program started, the parents joined. I came in without knowing anyone and I have trained steadily and hard. It had to take bravery to come in the first couple of times and now I have made new friends along with learning a life-long skill.

I'm thinkin, boy howdy! I was so nervous that first class. I did not know what to expect and my stomach was in knots all the way through the first week. I have really enjoyed karate and I am very greatful for that an adult program was started.

Ms. Brown, the secretary and also a student asked me afterwards if I was surprised. You betcha I was! She said she was so excited for me to get it because she had known about it before hand and it was hard not to say anything. LOL I kept thinking, oh .... this is going to one of the younger students because we had from 5-45 (maybe older) on the floor promoting at the same time. He said my name and I did a double take! Say what?! Really?! Sweetness!!

I have really been down this week with this cold and such OMG what a motivator this is. My first of many awards to come! I am gonna be smiling for a long time. Oh my, something just occured to me...I need to get a thank you card. Yep. Definately a thank you card.

NOw I just need to get my ass in gear and practice more on the bag here at home! I have slacked, mainly because of this danged cold but also because I have so many projects going. Come on self-decipline! You can do it! :)

OMGoddess, Mussel goodness!!!

I finally found someone in town that sells fresh (quesitonable...) or should I say live Mussels. I made up that recipie I posted yesterday only I added 1 cup of white cooking wine, 3 inely chopped garlic cloves, three sprigs of fresh basil chopped, one whole LARGE Portabella mushroom chopped, and anout 1/4 teapsoon of kosher salt. I had to let the Mussels sit overnight in the fridge because I got them so late and I lost two overnight. Don't cook the dead ones...that is playin with fire. You put all this and the rinsed off muscles in a large pan, cover and cook for about 5 minutes on med-high heat to get the wine boiling. The Mussels will open and shrink in size (the actual Mussel, not the shells...ha!). Turn off the heat when they have all opened and let it sit and cool a bit before adding some flour to thicken up the now soup base, and then add in some paramason and romano cheeses. OMG....what a CHEAP dish to make!! How much would you pay for ONE SERVING of a dish like this? $20? $25??

I payed just over $9 for the ingredients and I had to go elsewhere for the Mussels which were $3.99 a pound and all they had left was just .93 of a pound. So the Mussels ended up being $3.63. What is that? About $14 for THREE servings!! OHHHhh...MYYYyyyy...GOddessssss.....YUMMY!!!!

Today Orange, tomorrow Green!

Tomorrow I go up to Green belt. I am a bit bummed with this cold still hanging on. I am not sleeping well, if at all without some sort of night-time cold meds for cough and sinus relief and I don't sleep well if at all period without anything. I dunno why this has started to become a regular thing. I have never had troubles sleeping up till this past month. I dunno if it is the heat or what. I am not depressed. I won't allow myself to get depressed. I start feeling sorry for myself I pick myself up by the proverbial ear lobe and drag myself either outside for some exercise or to the punching bag.

I took some Melatonin along with some night-quill so that I will hopefully sleep all night. The new night-quill formula does not knock me out like the old one, which bites ass big time.

I finally got up last night around 2AM to take half a dose of sleep aid and I finally dozed off...only to be woken up by the BF getting up for work 3 hours later. *sigh*

Milk! My Goddess when did milk get so damned expensive!! On a positive note, the Kemp brand SAYS it does not use hormones on their cows anymore as no significant difference in production has been seen with the use of hormones. And BY GODDESS, THE TASTE DIFFERENCE IF FANOMINAL!!! It's creamer and richer than I remember Milk (Vitamen D) tasting!

Woh, I am getting some major drowsy feelings now...nice! Okay well if I find myself not sleeping, I will be up knitting on my first pair of socks in about six months. Weeeeeee....wow...time for bed!!

Until next time...

Homespun Dreamings: An open letter to ALL Politicians

Homespun Dreamings: An open letter to ALL Politicians
Wake up.

No, really. I mean it.

You claim to want what’s best for this country. You claim to serve it. YOU ARE LYING.

Stop worrying about the next election. Stop worrying about your legacy, and your war-chest, and your popularity. Wake up and look, really LOOK at what’s happening in this country.

We are losing America.

Every value, every right and freedom and philosophy that the Founding Fathers worked so hard for, that they fought and died for, that they risked everything for; it’s all being trashed by a power hungry greedy corporatist administration. Six years in office and somehow these people have pulled the Constitution right out from under us, and you have allowed it.

You are as responsible as Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney for the condition America finds itself in. You did not do your job. You sat back, Republican and Democrat alike, perhaps for reasons dissimilar, yet sit you did, watching, smiling as the coffers increased, as our rights were eroded, as a three branch co-equal government system was raped, leaving us with a unitary executive whose sole motives are power and greed.

Are you aware of National Security Presidential Directive 51? Where are the challenges to this power grab? Any crisis, anywhere in the world, and Mr. Bush can declare himself dictator, with unlimited, unchecked power, including the power to remain in office past 2008.

Are you aware of the theft of Iraqi oil? We do not steal it to pay for reconstruction of the country, no; it’s merely for the profit of the world cabal of Oil Companies. We, the United States of America, are allowing a group of Oil Companies to literally write laws in Iraq which outright give rights to nearly all current and ALL future oil fields to Exxon and Standard Oil, et al. Oh, a twenty percent share goes to be split between the factions in Iraq, after of course, the Iraqi government gets its cut, which has yet to be determined. The Iraqi reluctance to sign this bill is delaying one of the “benchmarks” that the US has imposed to go forward in Iraq. Is this not extortion? People do not understand the greed. They say that if this war is being fought for oil, why are the prices so high? They must understand that it is for control of oil that it is being fought. They have no interest in bringing prices down. By owning, they can control the price, and controlling the price, control much of the commerce in the world.

I was moved to tears this week, watching the history of our Revolution unfold on TV, in honor of Independence Day. I watched how this group of men decided that the King’s rule was intolerable, that their basic human rights had been violated, and that therefore they had a DUTY to rise up against such oppression. These men did not do this lightly. They placed their lives in jeopardy, their families and their homes at risk. They knew what they were getting into. Their families were tortured and killed, their farms were burned, they were hanged and abused, yet they persisted. They saw that what they were fighting for was bigger than themselves. They wrangled and fought even amongst their own to found a government that could be an example of freedom and democracy to the world. They fought against all odds and they won.

Read the Federalist Papers, and the correspondences of the Founding Fathers. They explored and shared and dissected every area of Government. Why have a government? Who should the government serve? How can that Government be structured and confined? What are human rights, and how can they be attained? Their party affiliations were chosen by the philosophical bent of the party, not by issues.

Where is our Jefferson? Our Franklin and Adams? Where are those with the courage and conviction to stand against a rogue administration and lead the masses back to the Constitution? There are rare few voices out there, and unfortunately, they are marginalized. Dennis Kucinich pens a Resolution of Impeachment against the most toxic Vice President in our history, and people laugh. Over and over the Democrats give up before they even start, saying “oh, we don’t have the votes.” Well, dammit, make the stand anyway. Let the people, yes, WE the people, know that you tried. Let the world know that the majority of our citizenry does not support the policies of this President.

It is simply incomprehensible to me that even the staunchest of Republicans can support this President. There is nothing about this man that is truly Republican. He has spent the biggest budget surplus in history down to record deficits, and none of that has gone to programs that help mainstream Americans. His record on the environment, on health care and science, on immigration and national security are failures in every possible way.

I know there are protests going on. I’ve been to a few, and I get emails every day from very large groups who are working to reign in this Administration. Why do we not hear about it? When 10,000 protest immigration policies in LA, we hear about it, but when there are nationwide protests organized by Code Pink, or World Can’t Wait, or the Coalition for Peace? Not a word.

To all of you facing re-election in the coming years please know this. All the money you raise is useless. Your fate rests in the hands of millions of others like me. We’re ANGRY. We want leaders who will serve US. We want to believe that the people we support will have a backbone and a basic knowledge of right and wrong. We want someone who will tell us the truth, even if it hurts. We want the Constitution to mean something again, and not be viewed as a “quaint document.” We want honest, thoughtful dialog, where people who disagree can work together for the good of the country, without vitriol, without name calling. We want respect for all Americans.

If you believe in America and what it stands for; if you “defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”, then you will do anything and everything to preserve it.

Are YOU that person?

The Five Things Closest To My Chair

Take a look around you. Apart from your computer and its peripherals, and your computer desk/table/milk crate and chair, what, in order of their physical closeness, are the five things nearest to you right now?

1. Coffee Mug with soda

2. Quartz rock I found at railroad

3. Hankie (full of snot! HA!)

4. Flu Reduce (so I remember to take it ever 6 hours for this bug I have)

5. Digital Camera

Prayer Shawl is a go!

YAY! I got an email back today from the lady whom I inquired to make a shawl for and she said she would be delighted to have one from me.

I picked out a basket weave pattern from the Shawl Ministry Site and have chosen several prayers from their site to start with. I will create a finishing ritual of my own when I am done with the shawl. I like their "Beginning to Knit Dedication" prayer as it involves a simple form of candle magic and I like that kind of magic. I have many blue chime candles so I will be using those, dressing each one as they are used in lavender oil. I also think I will surround the candle holder with quartz and blue lapis...if only to incorporate a bit of myself and the earth religion I follow into it. Then I will send one of each of those stones to the recipient of this shawl in a leather medicine bag. I feel very good about getting start with this project. The healer and compassionate side of me is definitely wanting to come out. Since I am going to be spinning the yarn also I will need a spinning dedication prayer. While spinning-or even knitting- the yarn I think I am gonna listen to either my Chakra CD's or some other peaceful sounding CD. Hopefully, I will not doze off to them!! But I suppose that could be an okay thing. I do believe my Reiki attunement will also aid in this endeavor. I will just have to incorporate a line or two to call in the healing masters of Reiki when I start knitting.

I am especially touched by a prayer (an opening to each knitting session?), which was written for some one's Mother, a source of inspiration and love. Something I would use in my times of doubt.

(To my Mother, whose perseverance and wisdom while battling cancer
gave me the strength to write this poem God's speed - I love you!)

Oh, Angel of mine, please hear my prayers,
give me strength and remove my fears.
My heart is heavy and I'm having doubts,
I'm asking you please help me out.
I'm not asking for a sign just a little love
between your heart and mine.
I know you are with me every night,
guide me so I know what I do is right.

It is in times like this, that religious boundaries seemingly vanish, and all faiths are seen as equals. What may work for one, may not for another, and that is perfectly okay. We each find the connection to whatever Spirit is out there, that may or may not exist, that may or may not be simply a figment of our imaginative human minds-unique as we are as simply a species...I ramble....in our own unique and human ways. I only wish that the fanatics could see religion as I do in this moment. Right now, in this moment, it all seems so perfectly clear. As the day wears on, this heightened awareness will fade and I will once again question the rhyme and the reasons for everything. This is just too weird. Am I growing spiritually? Exponentially I think!!

Woh...usage of big word....even more weird still...woh....what the!

Until next time...

While Driftin Asleep one night...

Last night I was thinking about the elemental salutations that I learned over the weekend I went to the class for Personal Energy Management, words came to me. Words that were to be said with each salutation of each element. I can't find any pictures or any sites that has what I learned but basically they are simple...yoga like stances. The salutation ritual starts with your hands in front of you, palms together, like a simple Buda prayer pose. You come back to this simple prayer pose inbetween each pose.

Air: From prayer pose, extend arms out to each side, palms down, spread your fingers wide-imagining they are the feathers of a birds' wing. Sway gently as if riding on the wind.

"Hail to the Winds which blow in each Season"

Fire: From prayer pose, extend arms upward, slightly out in a V form.

"Hail to the Fires' passions burning bright."

Water: This one is hard to explain in words alone but I will try my best. From Prayer pose, open hands so that palms face outward, fold fingers down-under and back around as you open your arms and bring them to waist level, imitating waves lapping on a beach gently swing the arms.

"Hail to Water, womb of the Earth"

Earth: From prayer pose, lower arms all the way, palms facing the ground, gently bob up and down.

"Hail to Mother Earth who supports my every step."

Spirit: From prayer pose, open bent arms wide to the sides, palms facing outward. This serves to open the Heart chakra.

"Hail to Spirit who shows us the way."

I tried putting the words to song, but I am not much of a singer. It goes to the Heart Beat of the drum for sure. I am sure someone in our spiritual group will be able to put it to words.

Until next time...

HORRIBLE and frightening dream...

I had a horrible dream last night. I dreamed I was with one other woman, I think she played the role of my Mother in the dream although she looked compeltely different. Some men, bad-bad men, were trying to brake into the house...the house was more of a trailer-home than an actual house...and no matter how many times I tried, I could not get through to 911. The one time I got through they thought I was playing a prank and hung up on me. Oh the anxiety!

Unfortunately, these bad men made it into the house and they bound us up after a short chase and struggle....and...raped both of us repeatedly. OH GODDESS, what a horrible feeling it is to be raped in your dreams!! I have never been a rape victom, and I pray I never will, but my goddess the realism in this dream gives me chills. I asked, no pleaded, for them to let us go, but they said when they get what they want FROM THEM (the police? Parents? Father? WHO?!) then and only then would they let us go. But in the meantime, for each hour that passed that their demands were not met, we would be violated.

What was this? Was someone in the building projecting a past experience that I happen to pick up on while dozing on flu meds? I experienced the violation in both the first and third person, as both myself and the man. *shiver* What a frightful dream I never wish to have again! Banish you I do! Never return to my mind again!!!

Exhasperated over knitpicks.com checkout

I am so mad at knitpicks! I cannot EVER login to check out and I always have to call my danged order in. I am sick and tired of having to call these people. I have told them over and over again that there is SOMETHING wrong with the checkout and that I have tried every trick in the book but for some reason when I go to checkout the login.asp page keeps RELOADING! OH! It's MADDENING!!!
They are always in a rush to get my order and my information when I call, one of many reasons why I HATE calling them. I like their option needles but this shit is flippin old already!!!

I went to the library and tried to check-out on three different public computers, went to a friends house to try on her computer, and it still does the same thing. I can login to change my account settings and information, but I cannot check out! MADDENING! When I called in my order, the lady said my information had not changed on thier end and of course they thing that is the reason for my troubles. Come on people! Why don't they take me seriously? Why would I make something like this up!? MADDENING! So we changed my information on THEIR end and I placed an order which was less painful than last time even though I have a frog in my throat. WHen I try to checkout now, it is letting me!! MADDENING! Even though I changed my email through my end...it did not take effect until THEY changed it on THEIR end. MADDENING!!!

Until the next rant...

Update: 7.27.07
Well apparently the problem was thier website customer database. When I changed my current email it was not changing it in the main database and so when I tried to log in, using my new email which I thought was changed, was not working because of the glitch. Although I did not get a chance to say this to the woman who took my order because she was very adament about telling me that the problem was as simple as using the wrong email to login. Well it was the problem, but obvious to me, there is much more to it than a simple mistake over what email to use when logging in. The system is not changing old information as it is changed by the customer. Cripes. Well so that is fixed for the time being...till the next time I try to order....*Marge Simpson groan*

*cough-Hack-cough* Waiting for Fiber Fling to begin...

Okay, I have to stay home tonight from karate. I am still weak in the knees with this cold and I am sure no one would appriciate me hacking through pratice. I am waiting for the Fliber Fling swap assignments to go out...hopefully I will not get a rip-off, crazy-person in this one. Sign ups closed Friday, and they said it would take a few days to get them out. So I wait.

I have two sponsors for my blogathon! YAY! One being the LYS down the street! I made some flyers that I am gonna hand out to the local businesses around here and see if I can rummage up some more support. I don't think I will get around to it today because I feel so tired. I'll do it Tuesday.

I got all those singles plied up navajo style, and I set all the yarn (46 yards worth) in the sink with hot water and plenty of soap. I plan to partially full the yarn to even it out and soften it up a bit. I really hate navajo plying. I always get coils where the yarn is pulled through the loop. I hate that!

Until next time...

Blah...Midnight Spinnin's

I am still dealing with this head cold. I seem to be sapped of most of my energy today but my sinuses are draining so this should pass in another couple of days. I stay up mos to the night filling up the bobbin of my louet with this HUGE ball of singles. The fifty-cent peice in the middle is a good reference to size. I wasn't tired at all last night until I took some night-time meds at around 1AM and it's not like I am gonna sleep well with this head cold.

It has taken me over a week to fill it to overflowing with this fibery goodness. It has all been blended with some sparkly glitz on the drum carder. Now it will take me a couple of days a least to navajo ply this up into some scrumptious yarn p0rn.

I told Karen at Off the Beaten Path that I would come in today to knit because she asked if I was gonna. But I had no idea I would end up with this nasty cold due to my incident with the inhaler. *blah* So I guess I will go over and drink some coffee and start on a new pair of socks. I got that incling to start sock knitting. I only have two pairs of wool socks and they kept my feet nice and warm last winter even though I wore them more than once or twice. So now I am on a mission to get three more pairs done *at least* so that I will have enough to wear one pair per day instead of one pair per several days. EW!! They could have stood on thier own after a week....yuck. Not good for ones footsies.

Until next time...
