I've got me a pair of socks started on ONE circular from two balls of yarn. Yes, ONE circular. I am awaiting needle tips from knitpicks so I can use a larger cable. These are a bit too small but will do until they arrive.
I am done spinning one bobbin full of alpaca and merino for the Kimono Wrap. I think I will twine die it in blue.
And here is the scarf all ready to mail out. I just need to wait for Sept 1 and the money to spend on postage. DOH!!
Until next time...

Hey, that bobbin in the pic doesn't look like a Kiwi bobbin. Did you get another wheel?
ReplyDeleteYeppers that is my Louet s51, had it for about six months now.
ReplyDeleteHurray for new wheels! I'm planning on eventually getting a Majacraft Suzie. I'd also like a Fricke electric spinner.
ReplyDeleteMy Kiwi is a good wheel, but the hooks are a pain, and the wheel just needs oiled so damn much. Does your Kiwi really go through oil, too?
No, actually I was told to never oil the ball-bearings at the wheels' center because they should be oiled for life as they are encased. I oiled the hinges on the peddles then and again because they started to squeak but other than that I never oiled. I do have to oil the Louet almost constantly because the flyer sits on metal and it will squeak to high noon without lube.
