I am a mere amateur compared to what I've seen so far!
I really struggled with the border on mine and I ripped it off at LEAST right times over the course of the last two weeks. The top is done! I don't know if I will get around to quilting and binding it before the 14th or not because I do work full time and then the extra curricular activities with friends also keeps me busy.
Last night I went to a "Sound Concert" were a lady played three crystal bowls and tones varies phrases for an hour and a half. Needless to say I was pretty darn relaxed and ready for bed by the time my friend brought me back home. It was a lovely experience!
I'm not completely sure if I post my piece today or tomorrow as this is my first blog hop to participate in (hopefully not the last). My day is not till the 14th...ironies of ironies.
Guess I will find out!

That heart with an arrow is actually not an easy paper piecing pattern. So, you did a great job, especially considering you're a beginner at it.
