Gimmie some of that, and some of that...OOOoo lookie at that!

So a little bit of this and a little bit of that has given me some really cool yarn! I blended wool with carded cotton, or as carded as I could get it, and it makes a very cool yarn! The cotton does not like the carder, but that is fine. The cotton adds soft little nubs of contrasting color that I love! I think this would make a very interesting tarot bag.

Speaking of bags, I've got a great idea for a votive candle holder...coming as soon as I can tear myself away from drum carder!

OMG Drum carder HOOOOOo and Podrunner T!

OMG! Look at this fibery goodness! The orange lookin bat looks more orange but it has a lot of green and dark golden yellow tones to it that reminds me of a sunflower garden in the fall. So that bat is called Sunflower Garden. I think it would make an excellant sock yarn, perfect for Fall!!
If I decide to sell my bats, I dunno how well my camera is gonna depict the colors. The purple ball has some burgandy silk carded into it.
The owner of Susan's Fiber Shop is such a nice person. She is the nicest fiber shop owner I have met in the longest time. She lets layaway bigger purchases while allowing me to take it home and play with it while it is being paid off. How cool is that?!

I got my Podrunner T! OOOO lookie! Me likie-likie!

I want a drumcarder!!!

I am thinking either the STRAUCH PETITE would be a good one to get, but the 405 model is more durable, comes with more goodies (doofer, teaser, knuckle saver batt picker, and a cleaner brush), and has a chain drive but costs twice as much. Fortunately, most every vendor that sells them accepts layaway payments. I purchased my wheel from theWoolery.com, and they were very helpful in helping me decide on a wheel. They want 30% down, which I can do but not till next payday, and they can stretch the layaway out to as much as 5 months with payments due by the 1st of each month after the down payment. I am concerned that the petite will not handle the workload I have waiting here for one, so I am leaning towards the more expensive model for durability and longevity. I don't see myself veering away from spinning anytime soon. It may be the one craft I will stick with for years to come (unlike scrapbooking, rubberstamping, lamp work bead making, weaving. Scrapbooking and rubber stamping I did for about three years each till I was bored with it and supplies were costing waaaaaaaaaay too much). Two hundred every payday will have it payed off in just over three months. Are there any recommendations, or praises, for this brand or the models?
