Exercise = No hunger....HUMmmmm...

It's an interesting notion. I exercised this morning (practicing my wheel kick and defensive front kicks) and when I was done...I was not hungry anymore. I remember reading somewhere that when you exercise you arn't hungry. By golly...it was right!
So when I feel like I am being a total chow hound...I should just exercise. What a way to get the mind off the food!!!

In other news...

I slept well last night. I think mostly because I was just totally exhausted from not sleeping well the past week. This is good because I am sooooooooo nervous about promotion night tonight. *chewing on finger nails* My instructor says we shouldn't worry about it because we've already taken the tests...and that was to come to class twice a week and work up a sweat. Oye...tell me about it. This is our chance to show off what we have learned and fly up a belt color. Excited and nevious...not a good combination (HUuuuuuuuuuuurl!!!)

I noticed that the BF bought 100% TP when he went grocery shoppin last night. Huh...coolness!!

I've got two more panels to do on that afgahn I am working on for Mum. I need a size N crochet hook to crochet the pieces together with. I though I might have it but when I looked....NOPE!

Until next time...

Went biking to the library and then some...

Whew! Am I tired!

I bike around 3 1/2 miles this afternoon going to the library to return a majorly overdue book and to drop in on the BF doing laundry at the Mart down the street (where the W icon is). This is part of the "scenic" bike route in Monona. Not very scenic to me...just a bunch of flippin houses that are blocking the view of the lake!! I guess the number balloons are mile counters. You can track your biking/running/walking too at http://www.mapmyrun.com/ .

I did register my back for a "license" just in case it gets stolen or something bad like that. Crossing fingers. Now I need to look into bike insurance...yes there is such a thing.

Right now I am dying some lincoln longwool to spin up into worsted yarn to knit a saddle back with and eventually felt it. I am dying the wool then spinnin it for once. I want some color on the wheel! I am doing turquoise, lilac purple, and a bit of golden yellow splahed in between color changes. Why? It's pretty. Yemaya strikes again!

Until next time...

A bike!-A Bike! I gotta new bike!!

When you wish for abundance...it comes!

I bought myself a brand spankin new bike from Erik's Bike shop where they guarantee the price is the lowest in town. I am not sure what brand it is but it is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!

I had to get a helmet too but that is okay. With the way people drive in this town I'll need it!!

I went around the neighborhood twice and I was whipped out! We live in an area with lots of hills so going down them is a load of fun...but coming back home is not so fun...whew!! It's so nice to have a bike for my body type. Pat at the Erik's Bike Shop east side location was super helpful. I was so bashful about trying it out, but he said he would just need my liscense and CC/Debit card to hold while I am out testing it out. I miss having a bike I can enjoy. The walfart bike is trash for me because the seat will not go down as far as I need and then the handle bars will not go up as far as I need. Damned spare tire is always in the way...but I can sit up streight and not bother with it on this bike. I had an inkling to go to that spacific store, and when he showed me this bike I had a very good feeling about it. I have a foot pump somewhere...I just gotta find it! So now I need to tote the old walfart bike to the RCGI motherhouse to donate to them. Maybe I can get some credit from it towards my theology course.

I consider this my Bday present to myself because no one else would buy it for me. I gotta do something for me once in a while yeah know. This will help with my wieght loss too. Come spring break I will be on this thing everyday to get my coffee! I just need to get a lock as the bike lock is being used to keep the storage space locked up as I haven't needed to use it till now. I'll run and get a lock later. Right now it is lunch time! Beer brauts and beer! Boy am I famished!!!

Until next time...

Need wieght loss suggestions, Rayovac ROCKS!

If anyone out there that reads this here blog, who is very over-weight, could suggest what I can do for a workout in the home (via DVDs), please let me know your suggestions. I have mild asthma, and when I push myself to walk up steep hills for a workout, I end up getting sick because I have to breath out of my mouth and I have to because I feel like I am suffocating. Yuck. I have some Sweatin to the Oldies...a couple kick-boxing things, and one ab workout but I am bored of them all. I need to loose some of the weight because my back as been complaining a lot...and it would be nice to be a little smaller. I need some that is easy on my knees, and doesn't require me to do fetal positions (cause you know that spare tire is in the way).

And Rayovac ROCKS! I had emailed them a couple weeks ago and asked if an older One-hour charger model that they made four or so years ago would handle charging the new, larger capacity 2800 batteries. They said that it would. Well, I tried it in good faith (thinking they knew more than I on the subject) and the newer batteries totally burned-out the old model. It smelled like burning electrical wire, and got unnervingly hot and all the while...made some kind of tinking sound that was not normal for it. So I emailed them back and told them this so that they would know for future reference. I also told them that we had to buy a new charger and that all we could find were the 3-4 hour chargers. I asked if they still made the one hour chargers...and apparently they do not. I guess it is not possible to charge the larger capacity batteries in such a short time without a fire hazard brewing in the charger.

What did Rayovac do upon hear that last part?

They apologized...and sent me a NEW charger-FREE without asking me if I wanted a new one (or me asking for one because I wasn't lookin for a freebie-I was just informing them), and it came today and it is the exact same model I purchased AND it has four new AA batteries in it!!! It it the Home and Mobile charger that comes with a lighter plug for charging on the go. Rayovac, YOU TOTALLY ROCK!!! Now we can charge twice as many batteries, and have one for the truck if we need it. *happy dance!* I've always been a Rayovac customer, mainly because they've been cheaper, but also because they were the first to come out with rechargeables those four or so years ago when I was in the market to buy them. Back then, the chargers were $30 but now they are significantly cheaper and a lot easier to find.
